You are invited to join the workshop, "Microaggressions: A Deep Dive." A microagression is a statement, action, or incident regarded as an instance of indirect, subtle, or unintentional discrimination against members of a marginalized group such as a racial or ethnic minority. In this introductory workshop, participants will; become familiar with the term "microaggressions", obtain an understanding of the social and psychological impacts of microaggressions, engage in activities and dialogue to unveil microaggressions within the workplace, validate their experiences with microaggressions and identify techniques to combat everyday slights, as a bystander or as a recipient.
This workshop will be delivered by Leadership and Diversity Consulting, LLC.
The 90-minute workshops will count towards Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) continuing professional education as the lessons learned will positively contribute to the overall environment.
