Weekly classes with instructor Phoebe Kulik are every Friday morning. Students meet using this zoom link:

Classes are free and will be a blend of vinyasa and restorative yoga. Classes begin on 1/7 and will continue through 4/29. Classes are open to all levels and no prior yoga experience is necessary. Phoebe will provide verbal cues and physical demonstrations (via zoom video) to ensure the class is accessible to anyone interested in exploring a yoga practice. Anyone who joins must complete a one-time waiver

There is a student yoga community email group (sphstudentyoga@umich.edu) that you can opt-in or out of at any time throughout the year by following these steps:

  • go to MCommunity
  • select "Log In" and enter your uniqname and password
  • search for "SPH Student Yoga"
  • select "join" or "resign"


Teacher Bio: Phoebe Kulik, MPH, CHES, is the Director of Workforce Development for several grants at the UMSPH, including the Region V Public Health Training Center, National Center for School Safety, and Michigan Center for Infectious Disease Threats-Workforce Development Initiative. Phoebe is also a part of the Office of Public Health Practice. She completed her RYT-200 yoga teacher training in March 2020, and is looking forward to connecting with SPH students in yoga practice.
