This talk will cover the findings from Peso y Cuerpo, a mixedmethods project aimed at analyzing thin ideal internalization and disordered eating amongst Latinx young people in the US and qualitatively exploring weight attitudes amongst Latinx and Afro-Latinx young people in the metro-Boston area. We will discuss emergent themes and insights from the work that can help inform public health interventions and policies working to mitigate the effects of weight stigma and disordered eating.
