For over 32 years HCC has inspired and empowered the next generation of diverse health and professionals. Through our paid, 10 week, full-time internship program with leading health care and public health employers you will have the unique opportunity to:
Gain hands-on exposure and experience
Strengthen their network
Discover or affirm their health career direction
Find mentors
Develop professional skills
Secure jobs (70% are offered a full-time job or extended internship)
Increase competitiveness for graduate education (Public Health, Medicine, Mental Health, and Business)
Receive a stipend for your participation
Through partnerships with leading organizations, HCC provides internships in a variety of settings including but not limited to:
Hospitals
Community health centers
Medical groups
Consulting firms
Health plans
Local health departments
Governmental agencies
Community-based organizations
Advocacy groups
Biohealth
Biopharma
Digital health
Additionally, interns become part of the HCC family of over 4,600 alumni who are health leaders and professionals in health care, public health, mental health, biotech, biopharmaceuticals, and other health sectors and are working to advance health improvement and equity. For those who applied in the past and were not accepted, we highly encourage you to apply again as we have new host sites and placements becoming avaiable every year.

Program Features:

Eligibility: Open to undergraduates and recent college graduates. BIPOC, first-gen students and those from low-income backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply.
Applicants will be notified of their application status and notice of interview by January 2023.
