Interested in securing a position as a Graduate Student Instructor (GSI) or a Graduate Student Research Assistant. Many students have positions like this during their time as a graduate student at the University of Michigan School of Public Health. If you are interested in securing a position like this join SPH Careers as we go through the process of locating these opportunities, how to apply to them, and how to prep your materials for these positions. We will be joined by current graduate students working as GSI’s and GSRA’s. 


You should attend this workshop if you are:

  • A graduate SPH student
  • Interested in getting a GSI/GSRA position 
  • Looking to create and prepare materials to apply for GSI/GSRA positions 


What you’ll gain by attending:

  • An understanding of what the process is to locate GSI/GSRA positions and how to apply to them 
  • An understanding on how to prep basic materials like cover letter and resume for on campus opportunities 

This workshop is virtual. Join our Career Services Coordinator, Maddie Houston virtually on Wednesday, March 21st 5:00-6:00 pm EST. The room number will be shared with registered participants several days before the event. If you’re interested in attending but cannot make it, please sign up and we will send you the recording and slides.
