ThuyNguyenThuy Nguyen, PhD, MPA
Director of the M-SUPER Network, Assistant Professor of Health Management and Policy
Thuy Nguyen is a health services researcher and health economist with interests related to the US opioid epidemic and health policy. Her research utilizes novel data to investigate topics including treatment access for opioid use disorder, prescribing behavior, and incentive issues affecting medical providers. 

RamanSinghRaman Singh, MS
Statistician
Raman Singh is a data scientist who serves as statistician for the M-SUPER Network. He recently completed a Master of Science in Data Science at Indiana University where he developed expertise working with large health insurance data sets. His interest in data analysis and passion for public health led him to pursue work with the M-SUPER Network. 

KyleBuchwalderKyle Buchwalder, MD
Project Manager
Kyle Buchwalder is a resident in the University of Michigan Preventive Medicine Residency program. He serves as project manager for the M-SUPER Network. He received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Colorado and completed residency training in emergency medicine at Oregon Health and Science University where he developed an interest in substance use disorders and population-level approaches to health.

DevonSteinDevon Stein
Research Assistant
Devon Stein is a data focused computer scientist who serves as a research assistant for the M-SUPER Network. He recently completed his undergraduate education at the University of Michigan, earning a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a minor in applied statistics. He enjoys exploring databases and performing literature reviews for research conducted by the M-SUPER Network.

KeerthiKeerthi Manikonda
Research Assistant
Keerthi Manikonda is a healthcare administration student who serves as a research assistant for the M-SUPER Network. She received a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of Minnesota and is currently pursuing a Master of Health Services Administration at the University of Michigan. Her passion for healthcare and interest in pressing health issues, such as the opioid epidemic, led her to the M-SUPER Network. 

Jonathan WangJonathan Wang
Research Assistant
Jonathan Wang is a pre-med student who serves as a research assistant for the M-SUPER Network. He received a bachelor’s of neuroscience from the University of Michigan and is currently applying to medical school. He is passionate about health policy and is eager to learn about M-SUPER’s opioid related research.

Research Assistant
Erisa Rosen is a public policy student who serves as a research assistant for the M-SUPER Network. She currently studies at the University of Michigan Ford School of Public Policy where she is concentrating in healthcare policy. Erisa is passionate about promoting equitable access to healthcare and finding policy driven solutions to the opioid epidemic. 

Olivia MorrisOlivia Morris
Research Assistant
Olivia Morris is a public policy student who serves as a research assistant for the M-SUPER Network. A Copeland Fellow, Morris currently studies at the University of Michigan Ford School of Public Policy where she focuses on Medicaid and Medicare access, opioid use disorder, and the economics of healthcare markets. Morris plans to reform health policy to address intersectional health challenges faced by America’s most vulnerable people.

ChloeXiaoyuan (Chloe) Qi
HMP Doctoral Student
Xiaoyuan (Chloe) Qi is a doctoral student in the Department of Health Management and Policy. She specializes in data analysis and management of both public and Medicare datasets. Chloe earned her bachelor’s in mathematics from Michigan State University and her master’s in industrial and operations engineering from the University of Michigan. Her analytical skill and passion for healthcare motivate her pursuit of innovative solutions to address the opioid epidemic.

SophieHartlSophie Hartl
Summer Research Intern
Sophie Hartl is a NIDA Summer Research Intern with the M-SUPER network. She is currently enrolled at Kalamazoo College where she studies public health and health economics. Sophie is passionate about making health services more equitable and accessible to all, and is eager to learn more about the opioid epidemic and health policy.
