Rod Little Lectureship Award

Rod Little Lectureship Award

History of the Award

The award was established in 2016 to honor a distinguished alumnae and/or a statistician with outstanding contribution to the field of biostatistics. The award was created to celebrate the legacy and work of our dear colleague, mentor and friend Rod Little. The award recognizes Professor Little's extraordinary contribution to the department of Biostatistics at the University of Michigan and to the broader profession of statistics. Professor Little is a pioneer and thought leader in the field of missing data, Bayesian inference, causal inference and survey research. He has provided superb leadership to the department for more than a decade.

Nomination and Selection Process

The award is given biennially in each even year. Biostatistics faculty nominate and vote on a slate of candidates. The process is completely internal to the department. The award comes with an honorarium of $1000, a plaque and a visit to Ann Arbor in early Fall to present the Lecture.
